Primary Teachers — Today’s Trick Question for Your Class . . .

Here’s a “golden oldie” that tricks them every time . . .!

Ask your class:

“Which is correct: ‘The yolk of an egg is white, or the yolk of an egg are white?'”

The children will almost always answer, “The yolk of an egg IS white.”

Which, of course, is wrong!

Because “The yolk of an egg is yellow!”

Fooled them again!
